Kitten Foster Volunteer
Each year the Kitten Foster Program takes in approximately 400 kittens to care for and facilitate adoptions to their forever homes. Our kitten foster parents are essential to allowing these kittens to live, thrive and be socialized before being adopted. Additional volunteers are always needed as our kitten population seems to increase each year.

What You Provide

Long-Term Fostering
A long-term foster parent is one who plans to foster throughout kitten season, which usually lasts from late March through October. You may foster 2-3 litters during this period.
Back-Up Fostering
A back-up foster parent assists with caring for one or more kittens when a long-term foster parent goes on vacation or needs a break. Fostering period may last from a few days to a few weeks.
Emergency Fostering
When young kittens come into the shelter, we often need to find them a place to stay on short notice. Emergency fosters help with short-term placement until a long-term foster parent becomes available. Fostering period may last between a few hours and a few days
