Featured Pet: Destiny

Destiny is a gorgeous young cat, only around five which in people years is about forty eight. We women know stuff by this stage and Destiny does too! When she talks to you as though she’s telling you important things, she is. Destiny has few requests: freedom, space, belly rubs and food when she asks for it. She deserves it. Visit the shelter and ask for ID#A037376 to meet Destiny.

Featured Pet: Pippin

A little treasure waiting to be discovered, Pippin is a 7 year old tricolor Dachshund full of personality. The beautiful blend of colors in his coat help make Pippin hard to miss and his friendliness, wagging tail, and affectionate kisses make him hard to pass up. He enjoys going on walks and although he might prefer to be carried rather than do the work himself, daily exercise is good for all of us. Pippin loves people and enjoys other dogs. If you have children, Pippin would love to meet them to make sure he is the right dog for the family. Pippin should be an indoor dog and would be OK in an apartment. To meet Pippin, please contact the shelter and inquire about ID# A038106

April is National Volunteer Month

For the month of April the VBAS wants to acknowledge the amazing work of all the volunteers who helped support the Burbank community. In April the VBAS participated in many events including Burbank Library Trivia Night and Burbank on Parade. Also, the VBAS held a successful vaccination clinic where countless volunteers helped the public keep their dogs current on vaccines. Thanks to all the volunteers who dedicated their time to help make April such a successful month.

Featured Pet: Tabby

Tabby is an almost middle aged girl in the prime of her cat years.  She is a very mellow, observant 8 year old prize with classic tabby markings and beautiful green eyes.  She doesn’t like sudden loud noises but doesn’t seem bothered by the barking from the kennels suggesting she may have been around dogs in her pre-shelter life. She is spayed and ready to go home.  At age eight, Tabby is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors discount which is applicable to all Burbank residents over the age of 55. To meet Tabby, contact the shelter and inquire about ID# A037772.

Featured Pet: Lassie

This young lassie is all about the love.  Lassie is a one year old  buff colored Labrador Retriever and Boxer.  She may appear shy or scared at the beginning, but once comfortable in your company Lassie doesn’t hesitate to share her love and enjoys all the attention and affection you give her. Lassie needs some leash training so that she can develop into a great walking companion.  She came into the shelter with her housemate Laddie who has since been adopted and Lassie is quite lonely without him. She would be best in a home with another dog.   This girl will be a lovely addition to a home with a family, so please be sure to bring everyone when coming in to meet her. Lassie’s identification number is ID#A038324.

Featured Pet: Iris

Iris is a six year old female calico. Don’t let her relaxed pose fool you, Iris is full of mischief and a typical cat. She likes other cats, is fine with dogs, and especially adores people who adore her. Iris is very adaptable and accepts whatever life throws at her in her own unique cat style. To meet this stunning beauty with the playful heart, contact the shelter and inquire about ID#AO37906.
