Actively recruiting Foster Parents!

Ever walk by a kennel and wonder, “Is there really a dog in there? Is it hiding under its bed?” The VBAS Adult Dog Foster Program was established to help dogs like this who aren’t thriving in the shelter environment by placing them in a loving home.

Supported by the shelter, foster volunteers house these dogs and provide essential care: feeding, socialization with humans and other animals, and medical care. Fosters also promote the dogs in the community and via social media until they are adopted. The program will match dogs that fit their foster’s lifestyle.
