With 16 puppies at the shelter, (7 Belgian Malinois and 9 Labrador mixes) we decided it would be a great opportunity to introduce them to Burbank City Employees. I mean come on, who doesn’t love puppies?
The idea was to offer employees a short “puppy” break while increasing those happy hormones. It was also a great opportunity to socialize the puppies and for the public to learn more about the shelter .
The tour was held on January 18th, 19th and 20th and the puppies visited Public Works, Community Services Building and Burbank Water and Power.
Many City employees attended and were able to climb in the puppy pen and play with all the puppies.
Many of the attendees asked if it could be a monthly event, maybe next time with kittens or long term shelter residents. 🙂 It was a big success and fun for all that attended.
