Jersey

Jersey is a very sweet, chill dude. He seems happiest when he’s cuddling with someone and enjoying all the pets and treats he can. He has a low, deep rumble of a purr that just doesn’t stop while he’s being pet. Jersey would love to find a home with a fellow couch potato to hang out and snuggle with. Jersey was originally found as a stray when he was just a tiny kitten back in 2013. He was adopted out shortly after he became available and was in the most loving home, until his owner’s living situation suddenly changed and he had to be surrendered back to us.

Jersey was very sad and shut down when he first came back but has since come out of his shell and shown what a sweet kitty he is. Jersey lived as the only pet in the home so we feel it would be best if he found another quiet home where he could have all of the attention to himself again. Jersey’s previous owner stated he can be shy at first but loves pets and his humans attention. Jersey will require an experienced cat owner as he can become overstimulated very easily. (He was recently returned by an unexperienced adopter who tried to move way too fast with him.) But if you speak cat, can read cat body language, and are looking for a solo feline, Jersey would love to be your new best friend.

Veterinary staff recently did an X-ray on Jersey and discovered stones in his bladder that caused significant pain and discomfort. Our medical team removed the stones, and Jersey is much happier now. 🙂 Because of this, Jersey will have to remain on a prescription diet.
