Willow and Harlow. Two Special Kittens Looking for a Special Adopter!

Willow and Harlow had a rough start in life. They arrived at the animal shelter when they were about 5 weeks old with serious eye infections. Harlow needed to have one of his eyes removed and Willow had to have both of her eyes removed.  But this doesn’t slow them down one bit!

Willow is every bit as playful, curious, rambunctious, loving, and cuddly as any other kitten. She just needs more time to introduce herself to her living space.  Once she has it memorized she’ll be chasing her brother around in her new home, just like she does in her foster home. Willow is a very sweet girl that loves to be hugged and given kisses. Harlow has loads of energy but once he settles down, he’ll find you to nap in your lap for hours.  They’ve been through a lot together, and they are *very* bonded (Willow feels lost without her brother around), so they must be adopted together.

Blind cats are very good at memorizing the layout of their home, but it is best to avoid moving things around (like furniture and their litter trays) or leaving obstacles in unexpected places.  If you have open stairs they might need some type of barrier to prevent them from falling off the side.  It also helps to talk to blind cats so they can use their ears to track you and know when you’re approaching.

We’re looking for that special person(s) who is willing to give them a calm and gentle home and is also willing to take the extra time to introduce them to their new environment. It will take a little time, but it is so worth it.  Seeing a blind kitten confidently navigating, playing and acting like any other kitten is really amazing.   Willow and Harlow must be indoors only.
