This gorgeous goofball is named Ruth, like baby Ruth- cuz she’s a real sweetie. This mixed breed likely has a bunch of genetics in the mix- we suspect Weimaraner and mastiff might be in there- but it’s just a guess. She’s just over a year old, so she’s got loads of puppy goofy bad-coordination short-attention-span energy to her.

She’s a big girl at approx. 74 lbs, and a lot of enthusiasm to her, so humans need to be prepared for her initial excitement at the start of every walk. She has a ton of empathy- super curious at all times and very worried when she heard other dogs reacting to things.

She’s an incredibly sweet girl-a little overstimulated in the shelter- who enjoyed playing with toys and almost kinda sorta brought them back every time. She thought drinking water out of the hose was a really fun activity too.

Once we got to know each other, she was a fan of getting pats and scratches and hanging out on the bench with me. I was so happy to get to spend time with Ruth and to see how fabulous she is. I hope the right humans come along and discover her soon- whoever it is will be so lucky to have a wonderfully sensitive, silly, big goof in their life.
If that might be you, go to the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Ruth.
