Spike is a big, friendly boy with a bit of an independent streak. He was a bit of a crankypants when he first came to the shelter. But once he experienced a warm place to sleep and consistent meals, he decided being inside was much better than fending for himself outside.
He likes attention and enjoys pets. If someone is offering either Spike is glad to accept but so far he doesn’t always seek out attention himself. He likes to play with a variety of toys. He’s good at entertaining himself, but doesn’t mind if someone wants to join in. Spike likes having his alone time now and then, but likes company when it’s offered.
