Valentine is in a foster home and a volunteer went to visit and take her on a nice long walk the other day.

“Val is so super pretty, does well on leash and loves to explore. She’s not a fan of stairs, is still learning to wait at crosswalks, and doesn’t at all love sharp/loud noises. Valentine is still learning to trust and is particularly skeptical of men, groups of runners coming towards her and motorcycles. With time, and a bit of training she’ll find new relationships with all those things.

She’s not for a first time dog owner- an experienced human who understands the need for consistent training, routine, keeping her sharp mind busy and exercise needs met will be the perfect match.

She’s incredibly loving (almost knocked me over with love when I picked her up after not seeing her for a couple of weeks) and bonds strongly to her people. She’s whip smart, goofy, and sweet- but also protective and loyal.

I simply adore her, am so grateful she’s having such a fantastic foster experience, and will come over for visits if adopted locally (or… someplace cool I can go visit) and take her for walks. :-)”
