Antonio was having a really bad day when he arrived at the shelter. He had been dragged by a car and had horrible lacerations and abrasions, some down to the bone, all over his body. He needed help, way more than the shelter could provide.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to rush him to TruCare for Pets for the emergency care he needed. Antonio needed extensive treatment, and he faced a long road to recovery. His wounds needed to be cleaned and rebandaged daily, and he spent several days in the hospital.

Despite all he had been through, he never stopped being a happy pup, and he quickly became a staff favorite. One of the veterinarians that was treating Antonio offered to foster him during his recovery so she could continue to care for him. Happily, she fell in love and has decided to adopt him. Today Antonio is doing great. He’s living his best life with his new family that love and adore him.

The Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter would like to say a huge thank you to our friends at Tru Care for Pets for the *amazing* care they gave Antonio when he needed it most. Thank you for helping him, and for finding him a wonderful home!

We’d also like to say a tremendous thank you to our donors who made Antonio’s care possible. We could not have done this without you. Thank you for saving Antonio and for giving him a second chance.
