đŸ Meet Oscar – A Tiny Survivor with a Giant Heart đŸ

Oscarâs shelter story began at a recycling center. Found on a conveyor belt, he was plucked by the kind souls there before something very bad was about to happen. We canât be sure how he wound up on that belt, but afterwards, he needed his eye removed, and later received additional work on the eyelid of his remaining eye (which gives him a bit of a perpetually grumpy face). He was then placed into foster care to recover.

With time, he not only healed physically, but he blossomed into one of the most cuddly, laid-back kittens youâll ever meet. Although he had a rough start and is a little head shy around strangers, he never let that stop him from lying on the precise arm his foster mom was about to move. With his chatty mews, plentiful purrs, and not-so-subtle nudges and stretches, Oscar is proof that great things can come from dire situations.

When he was in his foster home, Oscar got along great with the resident cats, and acted just like any other kitten. You’d forget he was missing an eye until you threw a toy on his bad side and wondered why he didnât notice. đ

And best of all, after he fully recovered, Oscar was adopted to the perfect home!

He now has a big sister named Leia, who just happens to also be missing an eye.

The two are absolute besties, and do everything together.  After a rough beginning, Oscar really hit the jackpot!
We’d like to say a big thank you to our friends at Veterinary Eye Clinic in Alhambra for helping Oscar. We also want to say a *huge* thank you to all of our donors who made his surgeries possible. Because of you, Oscar got a second chance. Thank you so much for saving him!
