Remember Bob the Blind Kitten (See Bob is a Very Special Kitten) from a few months ago? We got an update from his adopters!
“First of all, you should know I’m writing this note with Bob stretched across my belly like a summer seal. He likes to splay, young Robert. He likes to flop and stretch and tumble all over our bodies and home, which he mapped out almost entirely within a few days of arriving, thank you very much; our Bobbie is quite smart. He scores within the 96th percentile of all cats ever, and by that I mean I feel very strongly he would score in the 96th percentile if feline IQ tests were actually in fact a thing.
My husband and I adopted through Burbank Animal Shelter once before meeting Bob, and we couldn’t be more delighted to report that he has become fast friends with his big sister, Siggy. And I’m not just saying that, y’all! Siggy is a shy and sensitive soul, and after a few days of fearing the Bobcat, suddenly realized he’s A, an infant kitten, and B, blind. She now plays with him by running up to his nose and giving it a boop. A literal boop! They also have specific calls for one another—if one hollers, the other comes running.
Our blended family is melding beautifully, and we can’t thank our dear friends (and Bobbie’s godparents) Sandy and Lou for taking us to the kitten fair, and Bobbie’s foster parents, Bev and Ken. The whole team at the shelter made the transition so smooth and wonderful, and now we can’t imagine life without our precious little turkey butt. And yes, we kept the name Bob. We had to! It just felt right.”
Thank you Gabe and Colton for adopting Bob and giving him a wonderful home!!!
