Maru is a domestic shorthair born in April 2022. He started out very shy and took time to fully trust people, but once he did, he became the sweetest, most loving boy.
Maru absolutely loves other cats and would thrive with a playful, friendly feline companion who enjoys wrestling and keeping up with his energy. He may also do well with a small/medium energetic dog experienced with cats.
His favorite things include catnip mice, mealtime, sunny spots, soft blankets, and romaine lettuce! He loves curling up into a tiny ball with his face tucked under his paws. He doesn’t like being picked up, but happily sits on a blanket-covered lap and enjoys cheek scratches, back pets, and brushing. Instead of meowing, he makes adorable little chirping sounds.
Maru is litter box trained and has used both regular and automatic boxes. He does scratch furniture, so scratching posts and cardboard scratchers are important. He’s also a clever little guy who can figure out how to open cabinets and closets!
Maru would do best in a quiet home with someone patient who will give him time to adjust. He may hide at first, but once he trusts you, he’ll greet you at the door, curl up beside you, and become an incredibly loving companion. ❤️
