It took two years and nine months, but our longest term residents, bonded pair Honey and Racer got adopted!!!!
Adopters Bailey and Karen shared their story with us:
“Going to the shelter we knew we wanted to adopt two dogs. Honey and Racer being bonded together already made our decision process easier. The way Racer would try to protect Honey won our hearts.
Since joining our household Racer has made himself at home quickly, he cuddles every night with me in bed and loves playing with his toys, especially the loud ones lol.
Honey took some time adjusting; she felt anxious and nervous exploring her new home but soon moved past it. Now she loves rolling around in her grass yard and cooling off in some interesting places in the backyard garden.
Honey‘s not much of a night time cuddle like Racer, she prefers her own bed in the hallway but likes to stay close by. ”
We’d like to say a *huge* thank you to Karen and Bailey for adopting Honey and Racer. Thank you so much for giving them a wonderful home!
We also want to say a big thank you to the all the Volunteers and Shelter Staff who spent so much time with Honey and Racer while they were at the shelter. Thank you for being there for them and for never giving up!
Honey and Racer, we will miss you, but we couldn’t be happier for you!!! 🙂
