Let’s Split It! Burbank Resident Dog Training Reimbursement Program – Limited Time Only
Well-trained dogs are more likely to remain successfully in their homes, reducing owner surrenders and easing overcrowding in shelters. Training also promotes responsible pet ownership, strengthens the bond between people and their dogs, improves dog behavior and safety in the community, and increases the likelihood that dogs have the skills needed to thrive in a home environment. That’s why the Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter (VBAS) are proud to offer Let’s Split It!, a limited-time dog training reimbursement program designed to support Burbank residents and help their dogs thrive in their homes. VBAS believes that by investing in training, the Burbank community can reduce the Burbank Animal Shelter intake, improve animal welfare, and help more dogs stay where they belong: in loving, permanent homes.
How It Works
VBAS will reimburse up to 50% of your dog training costs, with a maximum reimbursement of $100 per dog (limit two per household), when you complete an approved training program or session(s) with an approved trainer. Limited to the first 50 dogs that register for the program.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for reimbursement:
– You must be a Burbank Resident.
– Your dog must be licensed with the City of Burbank.
– Your dog must be altered (spayed or neutered).
– You must register here in advance of training starting.
– Training must be done through an approved program or trainer
– You must submit proof of completion (such as a certificate or receipt)
