A little bit of sassy and a whole lot of sweet – that’s Minnie. But that isn’t the way it always was.
I had trust issues!
Two year old Minnie was a homeless waif having to fend for herself in a scary world. She finally found a safe place when she arrived at the Burbank Animal Shelter. She didn’t have to worry anymore about where her next meal was coming from, but she was still scared. She hadn’t learned to trust people yet, and she always tried to find a hiding place where no one would see her. Eventually she would accept pets, but she was always ready to run.
Sleeping with one eye open…
Then Minnie got a break and went to a foster home. “What is this place?” she was probably asking herself. That’s when the transformation began. After a few days of hiding she started coming out of her shell. After a couple of weeks, her foster mom was holding her and Minnie allowed it even though she was still tense.
Hey domestic life is *fun*!
Then one day she must have realized that all was okay and she relaxed in human arms. Minnie is now an amazing little girl. She loves being picked up and petted and will purr up a storm when you do. She loves human company and is always following her foster mom around the house. She gets along great with the other cats in her foster home, and when Mom comes home she’s always the first cat to greet her and demand pets and hugs. She loves to play with toys with her foster mom, but she’s also perfectly content to play with them on her own. Basically she just likes having fun!
So many magnets to choose from…
Now Minnie’s biggest concern in life is which magnet to snatch off the refrigerator and where to hide it. This bundle of cuteness will be available for adoption soon. To meet Minnie, please contact her foster mom, Linda, at lindasarc@yahoo.com.
Put down the camera. I demand pets!
